a room above a bookshop
Nell Harcourt danced for eleven years, hurt her back, and found that the only thing that helped was a reformer and a teacher who paid attention. In 2021 she rented two rooms above a bookshop in Bath, put three reformers under the windows, and kept it exactly that size.

why three
Because a teacher can watch three people's feet, hips and shoulders at once, and cannot watch eight. Because three people become a small, quiet team. And because the room was built for three, and we would rather turn you away for a week than squeeze in a fourth.
the teachers

Nell Harcourt
Founder. Former dancer, Polestar trained, teaches most mornings and the beginners' course.

Isaac Mbeki
Physiotherapist turned teacher. Takes the clinical referrals, the privates, and the Thursday evenings.

Rosa Kettering
Teaches lunchtimes and Saturdays. Ten years of mat work before she touched a reformer, and it shows in the cueing.
